DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking a ServiceNow ITOM Developer in New York, NY.Summary:We are seeking a ServiceNow Developer with strong experience in Monitoring, Event Management, and IT Operations Management (ITOM) to help optimize and enhance enterprise ServiceNow capabilities. This role will focus on event management, alert correlation, monitoring integrations, dashboard development, and operational visibility improvements. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience configuring and developing within ServiceNow and enjoys collaborating with operations teams to improve monitoring effectiveness, reduce alert fatigue, and drive operational excellence.Duties:* Assess and enhance existing ServiceNow Event Management configurations and capabilities* Configure, develop, and optimize event rules, alert correlation, and filtering logic* Analyze monitoring and operational workflows to identify opportunities for automation and improvement* Design and build operational dashboards, reports, and performance metrics* Configure integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise monitoring platforms* Troubleshoot ServiceNow configuration, integration, and data flow issues* Collaborate with IT operations, ITSM teams, and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions* Reduce non-actionable alerts and improve operational visibility across the environment* Document technical solutions, configuration changes, and implementation recommendations* Support testing, validation, and deployment of platform enhancements* Provide knowledge transfer and operational handoff documentationRequirements* Experience developing and configuring solutions within ServiceNow* Strong experience with ServiceNow ITSM and/or ITOM* Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Event Management* Experience in creating and maintaining event rules, alerts, and correlation logic* Experience building ServiceNow dashboards and operational reporting* Experience troubleshooting ServiceNow configurations and integrations* Understanding of integrations between ServiceNow and monitoring or operational tools* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills* Excellent communication and documentation abilities* Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teamsPreferred Qualifications:* ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, or CIS-ITOM* Experience with ServiceNow ITOM Event Management* Experience implementing alert correlation and noise-reduction strategies* Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise monitoring solutions such as Splunk, SolarWinds, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, LogicMonitor, SCOM, or similar platforms* Experience with Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB* Knowledge of incident, major incident, problem, and event management processes* Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and operational best practicesIdeal Candidate:You are a hands-on ServiceNow professional who has worked closely with IT operations and monitoring teams. You understand how events become alerts, how alerts become incidents, and how proper correlation and filtering can significantly improve operational efficiency.
